How And Where To Buy Your Moonshine Stack – Creating moonshine isn’t something you want to do just anywhere. You need a nice secluded place, away from the prying eye of the law, to set up your operation. That’s where the moonshine shack comes into play. 
Once you’ve fulfilled either or both of those requirements, you can go talk to Maggie in Emerald Ranch to buy your very own moonshine shack. Each option will cost you 25 gold bars, so it is very important you pick the right location. You can choose to build your shack in one of five regions: Tall Trees, Heartlands, Hennigan’s Stead, Grizzlies, or Bayou Nwa.
The best one, in our opinion, is Tall Trees, but each has its own advantages to consider. Tall Trees is one of the easiest shacks to make your moonshine deliveries from thanks to the terrain being mostly flat and smooth. It isn’t far from Blackwater, which you will need to visit often for mail and deliveries, and the Manzanita post fast travel location is very convenient.
The Heartlands is another find choice, close to Emerland Station, but you will be delivering your booze all the way to Annesburg and Van Horn. Hennigan’s Stead is the farthest from civilization of all the shacks. Only pick this one if you really want to be out of the way. 
Finally you have Bayou Nwa, which is not a bad pick for runner up to Tall Trees if you don’t mind the swampy location. It is just a stone’s throw away from St. Denis and Rhodes so deliveries and errands to the city are a breeze. You do have to keep an eye out for predators, such as gators, but if you keep your wits about you there’s nothing too bad to worry about.

This will open up a mission in Emerald Ranch (you should be able to see it on the map marked by a yellow icon), in which you can go to an old saloon and meet Fike personally in a cutscene.
She’ll explain how she wants to start up her bootlegging business again, and wants you to help provided you pay an up-front investment. Like with being a trader, you’ll have an opportunity to pay either in the cinematic, or you can do so later if you have the money. To do this, go into the online menu (left on the D-Pad) and go down to “Camp and Properties”.
There’ll be a second option for where you want to put a Moonshine Shack, though it makes it clear it’ll charge you for the privilege. Once you do buy it, the Moonshiner role will open up and you’ll be able to start playing it for yourself.

The bust was conducted through investigative efforts by the Department of Conservation, and the Pike County Sheriff Department with the assistance of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, according to Sheriff Russell Thomas.
Thomas said 20 barrels were found, each of which produces approximately 7 gallons of finished products, totaling roughly between 140 and 150 gallons of illegal alcoholic beverage. “What we have here is a total disregard for the law,” Thomas said. “They know what to do and they know how to do it.” The moonshine was in the fermenting stage, around two days in with some further along according to its temperature, said the state police moonshine task force.
Some of the moonshine barrels were insulated, meaning that the producer started when the temperature was still low, then it got warmer, said the task force officer. According to Thomas, illegal moonshine making creates a good margin between production cost and selling price.
The producers did not pay any tax for the moonshine and had a decent size still that could run several times. The task force estimated the equipment and materials to make the moonshine around $2,000. The copper still is worth between $700 and $1,200. It costs around $8 per gallon for the sugar and wheat to make the moonshine.
The selling price is around $25 a gallon if sold in bulk, or $40 for retail price. “They can make as much as $10,000 a month,” the task force said. Producers make five to six gallons every seven days in the winter and 7 gallons every five days in warmer weather.
Thomas said illegal moonshine production is very dangerous because the still is run with propane. If there is a leak in the old cooper still, there is likely to be an explosion. Moreover, there is no safety or health inspection for such alcoholic beverage. The authority destroyed the barrels and took apart the still.
Further investigation will be conducted. According to Thomas, the last moonshine still they busted is on loan to the Pioneer Museum. This one will be loaned to the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge.
