Red Dead Online is a 2019 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games as the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2, After several months in beta, it was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May 2019, and for Windows and Stadia in November 2019.
A standalone client for the game was released in December 2020. In Red Dead Online, players control a customizable silent protagonist who is freed from prison after being framed for murder, and tasked with taking revenge in exchange for proving their innocence. Set in 1898, one year before the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, the game comprises story missions where up to four players can complete tasks to advance the narrative, as well as various side missions and events.
Like the single-player game, Red Dead Online is presented through both first and third-person perspectives, and players may freely roam in its interactive open world, Gameplay elements include shootouts, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and maintaining the character’s honor rating through moral choices and deeds.
A bounty system governs the response of law enforcement and bounty hunters to crimes committed by players. Players can traverse the open world alone or in a posse of up to seven players, with or against whom they can partake in organized activities. Developed in tandem with the single-player story, Red Dead Online was viewed as a separate product despite the development team’s wishes to translate elements of the single-player to a multiplayer environment.
The team took lessons learned from the multiplayer of Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Online received criticism at launch for its balancing of gameplay and in-game currency; later updates addressed the issues. It received positive responses with praise for its presentation of missions, co-operative events, and technical improvements.
Like Grand Theft Auto Online, the game received several updates adding new content, including various roles players can select to earn additional rewards. Reception to post-release content was generally positive, with praise directed at the more significant additions, though the lack of new content over time led to some criticism and backlash.

How And Where To Buy Your Moonshine Stack – Creating moonshine isn’t something you want to do just anywhere. You need a nice secluded place, away from the prying eye of the law, to set up your operation. That’s where the moonshine shack comes into play. 
Once you’ve fulfilled either or both of those requirements, you can go talk to Maggie in Emerald Ranch to buy your very own moonshine shack. Each option will cost you 25 gold bars, so it is very important you pick the right location. You can choose to build your shack in one of five regions: Tall Trees, Heartlands, Hennigan’s Stead, Grizzlies, or Bayou Nwa.
The best one, in our opinion, is Tall Trees, but each has its own advantages to consider. Tall Trees is one of the easiest shacks to make your moonshine deliveries from thanks to the terrain being mostly flat and smooth. It isn’t far from Blackwater, which you will need to visit often for mail and deliveries, and the Manzanita post fast travel location is very convenient.
The Heartlands is another find choice, close to Emerland Station, but you will be delivering your booze all the way to Annesburg and Van Horn. Hennigan’s Stead is the farthest from civilization of all the shacks. Only pick this one if you really want to be out of the way. 
Finally you have Bayou Nwa, which is not a bad pick for runner up to Tall Trees if you don’t mind the swampy location. It is just a stone’s throw away from St. Denis and Rhodes so deliveries and errands to the city are a breeze. You do have to keep an eye out for predators, such as gators, but if you keep your wits about you there’s nothing too bad to worry about.

This is technically the most expensive Role in the game, as you have to first purchase the Trader Role to be able to unlock it. Once you become a trader, you have to complete one of three things:
Reach Trader rank 5 Complete a delivery Pay 5 gold bars in the progress section of the main menu
Completing a delivery is the easiest route to take, just do a local one and there won’t even be other players bothering you. Once you’ve passed one of the above milestones you’ll receive a letter telling you about an opportunity on Emerald Ranch. Go to the new icon there and initiate a cutscene.
Is Moonshiner Shack worth it?
To the OP: The Moonshine shack is very much worth it. You can make good steady money off of the deliveries. The bar is more for fun. You can get drunk by yourself or invite others.

Once you complete any of these conditions, you’ll get a letter sent both to any delivery offices and to your camp lockbox, with Cripps offering to introduce you to famed bootlegger Maggie Fike. This will open up a mission in Emerald Ranch (you should be able to see it on the map marked by a yellow icon), in which you can go to an old saloon and meet Fike personally in a cutscene.
