Where do I get the moonshiner role?
Becoming A Moonshiner – Rockstar never intended players to stick to just one Role, unless you are a very dedicated roleplayer with a very specific character concept in mind. As such, the Moonshiner is the first Role which requires some progress to have been made in another Role – the Trader, in this case. When selecting the location of the Moonshiner Shack, it is easy to make a misstep since players aren’t familiar with the mechanics yet. There are a total of five locations, which are static and instanced. This means that all players have access to the same 5 locations, meaning you’ll be “sharing” the shack with other players in a geographical sense, but obviously progress itself is tracked on a player-by-player basis.
How do you start moonshine missions in RDR2 online?
We show you how to take the moonshiner professional role in Red Dead Online and how much it’ll cost you for this frontier pursuit. Red Dead Online has added the first new role since they were introduced to the game: the Moonshiner, a profession based around brewing and distributing barrels of elicit hooch. We’ll show you how to become a moonshiner and what you can expect from it right here.
Your moonshine shack doubles as a bar for you and your friends. Cheersh! | Joel Franey/USgamer, Rockstar North/Rockstar Games Becoming a moonshiner actually requires you to become a Trader first, then to complete one of several conditions. You don’t have to complete them all, just one of them:
Pay five gold bars in the “Progress” section of the main menu (not including the Trader starting fee) Complete a Trader Selling Delivery Reach Trader Rank 5
Once you complete any of these conditions, you’ll get a letter sent both to any delivery offices and to your camp lockbox, with Cripps offering to introduce you to famed bootlegger Maggie Fike. This will open up a mission in Emerald Ranch (you should be able to see it on the map marked by a yellow icon), in which you can go to an old saloon and meet Fike personally in a cutscene.
She’ll explain how she wants to start up her bootlegging business again, and wants you to help provided you pay an up-front investment. Like with being a trader, you’ll have an opportunity to pay either in the cinematic, or you can do so later if you have the money. To do this, go into the online menu (left on the D-Pad) and go down to “Camp and Properties”.
There’ll be a second option for where you want to put a Moonshine Shack, though it makes it clear it’ll charge you for the privilege. Once you do buy it, the Moonshiner role will open up and you’ll be able to start playing it for yourself. If you miss the chance to buy from Fike, you can always do it through the camp menu later. | Joel Franey/USgamer, Rockstar North/Rockstar Games
What is the most profitable job in RDR2?
Sign up to be a Trader – (Image credit: Rockstar Games) All the Specialist Roles in Red Dead Online will earn you money, but by far the most efficient one for pure income is the Trader, a job based around hunting animals and bringing them to Cripps at your camp, all so he can turn them to raw materials which you then sell in delivery missions.
- As you gain more money you can invest it into a better business, increasing profits even further.
- We recommend putting down a camp in the Bayou North of Saint Denis, then hunting alligators, which are substantial sources of raw materials and pretty abundant in the swamp.
- Spending some money on a Hunting Wagon in your camp’s Wilderness Outfitters will enable you to collect them all the faster, and a bigger cart will allow you to sell in greater numbers all at once.

Can you have multiple roles in rdr2?
Red Dead Online has five different specialist roles, each with unique activities, abilities, and items that unlock as players rank up in the role. Unlike the single player campaign of Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online allows players to create their own custom characters to roam the Wild West. That includes giving their character one or more specialist roles, professions that come with unique activities, items, and abilities.
- Red Dead Online is an online mode that is available to all owners of Red Dead Redemption 2.
- Red Dead Online will soon be available as a standalone purchase as well, with Rockstar setting the price to $4.99 until February 15th, 2021, when it will increase.
- Red Dead Online offers both solo and co-op missions, as well as competitive modes that include special objective-based battles over territory and a 32-person battle royale.
Red Dead Online has also had seasonal events that add special items, weapons, and photo mode filters to unlock. Red Dead Online currently offers five different specialist roles that a player can choose to unlock. A player can have as many of these roles active as they choose, as long as they can afford the gold cost to unlock them.
- The specialist roles allow players to focus on Red Dead Online activities they prefer, while avoiding other types they don’t care for.
- Doing activities for a specialist role gains the players ranks in that role.
- As players gain ranks, they can gain new items, abilities, or access to certain activities.
The five specialist roles are the following:

Jim Tom, the man, the myth, the legend,” one viewer tweeted before another added, “Jim Tom you are one of a kind.” His last appearance on the show was in 2016, when he was last seen helping Josh after his split with partner Bill. “I’m more like a hermit,” Jim Tom explained at the time. “I don’t go many places.” Article continues below advertisement However, despite his time away from the reality show, we can guarantee that Jim Tom is still being a ladies man.
“The women,” he responded when asked what he can’t live without, “Now, you just can’t hardly make it without them. Now I get around. People don’t know that I get around. Yes sir. Women and booze. Ain’t never been nothing that matches like that together.”
