Can you get alcohol in Disneyland California?
On Jun 24, 2022 Shelley from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer. ” Hey there, Shelley! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for bringing this great question our way. I also love to sit down, relax, and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine to take a break from the action! There are two locations inside Disneyland Park that serve alcohol – Blue Bayou Restaurant and Oga’s Cantina at the Disneyland Resort, You’ll have to enjoy your drinks inside these venues – you can’t walk around the park with alcohol. My panel sister Carrie and I recently toasted with a Jedi Mind Trick and The Outer Rim at Oga’s Cantina and highly recommend both! It can be difficult to secure reservations at Oga’s Cantina in advance, so I wanted to mention that you can join the Mobile Dine Walk-Up List, Once you are nearby, search for the restaurant in the Disneyland mobile app and you’ll see the option to add yourself to the list. I have done this numerous times even on busy days and we were able to get seated within an hour. Carrie and I stood in line at 10:00 a.m. recently and got in within five minutes! While there are no guarantees, it’s worth a try. So, if you’re in the mood for a morning cocktail, the wait will likely be shorter earlier in the day. There are lots of places to enjoy a drink at Disney California Adventure Park – Lamplight Lounge is one of my favorites, with beautiful views of Pixar Pier. Also, there are lots of options in the Downtown Disney District – Uva Bar & Café has a vibrant outdoor seating area and it’s a fun place to relax and people-watch while you sip your cocktail. You can view menus in the Disneyland mobile app. One final tip – one of my most refreshing drinks of choice in a relaxing setting is the Prickly Pear Rose at GCH Craftsman Bar, poolside at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Most evenings they have live music, there are soft, white lights delicately strung above you, and around dusk is it pure perfection! You can use the entrance to the hotel from Disney California Adventure Park, and you’ll see the bar as you enter the courtyard. I can’t wait to get back there in a few weeks. Cheers to you, Shelley – have a magical trip! Kamini

Can you walk around with alcohol in Downtown Disney?
Open alcohol at DTD? In WDW you can walk around with open alcohol at Downtown Disney. Can you do the same at DTD in Disneyland? Thanks I believe in WDW that was only allowed in the Pleasure Island entertainment district of Downtown Disney which has closed.
I could be wrong though. However in Anaheim you cannot walk around with your alcohol. You will be required to finish anything purchased before leaving that bar/restaraunt. Yeah, you cannot. I saw security giving two guys a real hard time about walking around with beer cups last May. WDW typically has an all tourist crowd – things are a little different here, (at least used to be), DTD would be packed with young locals hitting up all the bars.
Allowing them to carry around would admittedly be a disaster. I wish you could though, wouldn’t mind strolling around window shopping with a nice beverage. Yes, you can at WDW’s Downtown.even in Marketplace. My DH gets margaritas every time at the Margarita Bar by the lagoon.and he walks around with them all over downtown. He experienced CA’s rule when we were there in March. Tried to get a plastic cup from ESPN Zone for his beer, and was told it’s not allowed. I do understand the rule, but it was a surprise to DH. It was really loud in ESPN and he just wanted to stroll around outside. Too bad.he would have stayed longer and spent more money if he could drink and shop! It has to do with the vendor. For example, you can get a margarita at the margarita bar in DCA and walk around with it, or a beer from Taste Pilot’s Grill and walk around with it, but you can’t get a drink at The Cove in DCA and walk around with it. DTD in Anaheim does not have any vendors selling portable alcohol.

i think you can take drinks out from the Cove, they come in little plastic wine glass. But maybe thats from the Winery Only. California and Florida have different State liquor laws. Not everything that applies to WDW is the same at the DLR and vice versa.
- At the Disneyland Resort, you can only walk around with alcohol that has been purchased at an outdoor venue and are in a green/yellow plastic cup.
- Alcohol purchased from a restaurant MUST be consumed in the restaurant or the restaurant’s seating area and is usually in red plastic cups.
- Basically, if it’s an indoor venue or restaurant then the alcohol has to be consumed indoors or within the borders of the location.
outdoor locations (like the Karl Strauss beer cart) you can carry it around with you. I doubt the Uva Bar allows alochol purchased from there to be taken out of the location, since they are considered to be a restaurant as well. “Basically, if it’s an indoor venue or restaurant then the alcohol has to be consumed indoors or within the borders of the location” And adding another thing to the mix, I was allowed to take my half-finished boozy drink from PCH Grill up to our room.

The Earthquake My server explained that this is the most potent drink on the secret menu due to the Bacardi 151 floater, which is saying something given the general Long Island Iced Tea vibes on this menu.
