What’s the world’s strongest beer?
Product Description – Brewmeister Snake Venom is currently recognised as the strongest beer in the World. It is brewed in Moray from smoked, peated malt using two varieties of yeast, one beer and one Champagne. Like other ultra high strength beers it is frozen several times after the fermentation process, and the ice crystals removed.
This concentrates the alcohol, flavour, and body of the beer as water is removed each time. The beer is then fortified with alcohol to increase the strength further. The result is a powerful, viscous, intensely flavoured beer that should be treated more like a spirit with regards to its consumption. There is no carbonation as the liquid is too thick to hold carbon dioxide bubbles.
Due to its high ABV, the manufacturer has issued the following warning: !! WARNING !! This beer is not for the feint-hearted, it is recommended to enjoy in small doses of 35ml measures. We are not responsible for the risks you may take and don’t encourage you to be the hard man! At 67.5% ABV, Snake Venom is officially the world’s strongest beer.

Why is snakebite illegal?
The Oxford Companion to Beer Definition of snakebite The Oxford Companion to Beer definition of Snakebite is a mixture of lager and alcoholic cider that is sometimes euphemistically referred to as a “beer cocktail.” Technically, as a mix of drinks, it is a cocktail, but beyond that technicality it has little in common with what we generally think of as cocktails.
Snakebite is popular in Britain and had its heyday in the 1980s, when it was a popular drink among students and youth subcultures such as “Goths” and “punks.” Often a shot of blackcurrant cordial would be added, to create “snakebite and black,” “Diesel,” or “Purple Nasty.” These names give some clue as to snakebite’s appeal among young, budget-conscious drinkers who are often more interested in the intoxicating qualities of alcohol than its flavor: Snakebite is cloudy, looks and tastes unappetizing, and is commonly believed to get you drunk more quickly than lager or cider separately.
For this reason, there is an urban myth that snakebite is illegal in Britain; this is not true. Pubs are not allowed to serve half pints of snakebite, because this would mean serving incomplete measures of both cider and lager (draught products may only legally be sold in third, half, or full pint measures) but they are perfectly at liberty to serve a half of cider and a half of lager in a pint glass.

Final Thoughts – So what can we take away from this study? Well, the most popular type of liquor in most U.S. states is whiskey, but vodka is a close second. Meanwhile, staple liquors like tequila and rum aren’t the most popular liquor in nearly as many states, so the gap between whiskey and vodka and the other liquors is quite large.
Rum does have its moment in the spotlight though, as the most popular brand of liquor in most states is Malibu, followed by Appleton Estate — both well-known brands of rum. The heavy-hitting whiskey and vodka duo regain their footing when we look at celebrity liquor brands as Conor McGregor’s Proper No.
Twelve Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey and Dan Aykroyd and John Alexander’s Crystal Head Vodka are the most popular celebrity liquor brands on a state-by-state basis. All in all, however, Americans love a variety of liquor, as 11 of the 14 liquors we looked at are the hard alcohol of choice in at least 1 state,

Can alcohol be 100%?
Top image: Auchentoshan Distillery, photo by Alan Jamieson /Flickr. – Ethanol, the business molecule of alcohol, is more volatile than water. Given any set of conditions, it will be more likely to fly away than water molecules. This includes higher temperatures. Heat up a mix of ethanol and water, and more of the ethanol will go away. This proved a bane to liquor makers, until someone stumbled on the secret of distillation. Heat up a mixture of ethanol and water to a point where the alcohol boils but the water (except for the stray molecule or two) does not, and you can make a liquid that’s pure water and collect a steam that’s pure ethanol. Few people actually wanted pure ethanol, though. Though a little extra kick was good, only the hardcore drinkers demanded pure alcohol — and they weren’t going to be repeat customers. So it took a relatively long time for people to realize that no one could make pure alcohol or pure water from ethanol and water. This is because ethanol is not an ordinary mixture, it’s an azeotrope. Instead of boiling purely and separately at two different temperatures, its vapor will form a certain proportion. Steam from alcohol is 95.57 percent alcohol. Get a pot of 95.57 percent ethanol boiling and the steam will be 95.57 percent ethanol right down until the last drop evaporates. That’s the limit. It seems like it should be enough. (There is, reportedly a Bolivian beverage, Cocoroco, that’s 96 percent ethanol. It’s not legal, but it does exist.) However, leave it to people to try and change it. Someone found a solution. Benzene, when added to a mixture of water and ethanol, will allow more alcohol to steam upwards. What a disappointment that benzene was found to be carcinogenic. Well, we still can dream. ]” href=”http://www.solvent-recycling.com/azeotrope_1.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>Solvent Recycling, Proof : The Science of Booze by Adam Rogers,]
What is full strength beer in USA?
What is mid-strength? – Firstly, let’s define the category. Broadly speaking it’s an evolving spectrum of beers that are between 3.5 and 4.5% alcohol by volume. Full-strength is deemed above 4.5%, and low alcohol is generally sub 3.5% ABV. “No alcohol” can contain up to 0.5% alcohol.
- Within this small slither of alcohol boundaries, many of Australia’s highest selling beers fit within the mid-strength definition, for example XXXX Gold, Great Northern, Hahn Super Dry 3.5 and Carlton Mid.
- To many beer drinkers, mid-strength beer is often derided as low flavoured and thin-bodied.
- But many modern craft classics buck this trend – think Bridge Road’s Little Bling, Pirate Life’s Throwback IPA and Colonial Small Ale are just some of many mid-strengths delivering big flavour on small ABVs.
But how do they do it?

How do you know how much alcohol is in your drink? Even though they come in different sizes, the drinks below are each examples of one standard drink : Each beverage portrayed above represents one standard drink (or one alcoholic drink equivalent), defined in the United States as any beverage containing 0.6 fl oz or 14 grams of pure alcohol.
