What is the end of humanity in Simpsons Tapped Out?
Trivia –
Weeds are considered a joke crop, as they reward the player with nothing and only costs one cash to plant. The reward for Triffids is listed as ‘End of Humanity’. The crop actually instead rewards 200 XP, and no cash. This is possibly a reference to the 1951 film The Day of the Triffids deals with an aggressive species of plant destroying humanity. The time for corn to grow is three months, or 90 days. This is how long corn takes to grow in real life. When the game first came out, it was possible to own more than one farm. The Level 20 Other Springfield still has 2. If Cletus’s Farm is stored, it will store Cletus and will get rid of the growing crop. Tomacco originally took 60m to grow. After an update during August 2014 the growing time was decreased to 30 min. Elf Berries, Meth Plant, and Tofu are crops that exist in the game files, but remain unreleased. With the Level 51 update on April 8, 2015, Cletus’s Farm’s build time changed from 15 to 5 minutes. Planting Insanity Peppers(3hrs) earns more money than GMO Pomatoes(4hrs). When tapped, you will hear a sound of a banjo

What happens when you harvest triffids in Simpsons Tapped Out?
Re: Triffids You wrote: “Hi there I just want to ask a question about this task I had pop up. It’s to harvest triffids at cletus’s farm but I know that the end result is “end of humanity”. Can you tell me if I do this task will I lose all progress in my game or what actually happens when this is done.
- Your help will be much appreciated.” Answer: The 12 hrs task at Cletus’ farm, Harvest Triffids costs 80 money and rewards xp 200, no money.
- It is not the end of humanity.
- Nothing will be lost (except your 80 money).
- Once it is ready, you have 24 hrs to harvest before the Triffids wilt.
- It can be brought back to life if a neighbour helps you.
Harvesting wilted crops will give you nothing and will not be valid as the task done. How long the crops will stay before it wilts depends on the crop. You have only 3 sec to harvest Perfection but 7 days to harvest Corn. I assume it was a Daily Task to harvest it.
- You can x out of one Daily Challange every 24 hrs, so if youre not comfortable growing Triffids, exchange it.

What happens when you buy all land in Simpsons Tapped Out?
Springfield and Springfield Heights – The further away one goes from the starting plot, the more the expansions costs, with vertical costing more than horizontal spaces. The cost of plots (usually) don’t change over time, the increase caused by the distance from the original plot.
- The biggest release of land since the launch of the game was with the Destination Springfield event, releasing two columns, one row and one ocean row, for a total of 100 plots.
- The second biggest release of land in one update occurred on the release of the Springfield Heights expansion, releasing 6 rows and 9 columns over the mountains, in a whole new section, still usable by Springfield items.
During the latest big events, a prize called Free Land Token could be won. The user can use it when unlocking a plot of land to unlock it for free. If all land was bought before unlocking the prize, it’ll stay in the inventory till new land is added. During the Bart Royale event, 2 rows were added with all squares requiring Free Land Tokens to unlock. Land Deed can be obtained and unlocks the new land in Springfield Heights that now expand to the same length of Springfield. As of June 2023, Land expansions go as follows (39 deep x 40 wide):

Tapped Out players: please be advised that the part in the last scene about taxing higher level players was a joke. You’ve been given your $1,000 back.
Ha! I knew this whole thing was a hoax! It was probably the April Fool’s update that accidentally got released early. Or late. What month is this?
Actually, the level updates ending wasn’t a hoax. There really won’t be any more. You’ll still be able to “level up,” but you won’t get any new buildings or characters by doing so.
So there are still “levels”. but all they are is a meaningless number?
That’s right. And as a sign of gratitude, you’ll also get a small prize.

What makes the most money in Tapped Out?
Quickly earning money in Simpsons Tapped Out with houses I am playing Simpsons Tapped out and based on the data at the, I confirmed a suspicion I had for some time. The houses in Springfield are setup so that the houses that give you income at a higher frequency also give you the highest hourly income rate (see figure 1).
- This means that the more often you have to tap on a house, the higher your hourly income,
- You are being rewarded for wasting your time in this game.
- Figure 1: Income of Springfield houses I was also interested in when houses break even.
- There is a dramatic difference and in terms of the time it takes and the number of taps you have to do.
Remember, that some houses require you to tap them every few seconds. I consider the blue house as the best investment. It is cheap, gives you a decent amount of income and you you do not have to tap it too often. Moreover, you can squeeze exactly eight houses in one square,

The Simpsons: Tapped Out- Unlocking Witch Marge If you grabbed the Halloween update for, you’ll likely have heard of the witch costume for Marge. But how do you unlock it? First of all, you need to be Level 15 as a minimum. You also need to have completed the Al Coholic quest to unlock the normal Marge character. Do people still play Tapped Out?
> # Welcome to GameGrinOS v1.01 > # How can I help you? > # Press ` again to close > The Simpsons: Tapped Out, the popular mobile game from EA Mobile, is coming upon its 10th anniversary and the game is still going strong. Based on the similarly long-lasting show The Simpsons, Tapped Out shares much of the animated classic’s sharp humour and an ever-growing cast of the series’ beloved characters.
Tapped Out appears to be a solid town-building experience on both iOS and Android, with plenty of new buildings and areas to access. Any game needs to have something great about it to keep a dedicated following for 10 whole years and it would hardly be an exaggeration to say that The Simpsons: Tapped Out has greatness in spades.
Beyond just being a Simpsons cash grab, the title has a variety of fun options that offer hours upon hours of genuinely fun gameplay, and that’s not even getting into the consistent stream of special events that deliver even more ways to play and a plethora of new buildings, areas, and characters to unlock.
- Tapped Out is able to add more and more and more good stuff to itself on, what at times seems like a constant basis.
- So why am I not playing it? Those who keep up-to-date with GameGrin’s “What We’re Playing” weekly articles — and who recognise my name in that list — may notice that I’ve not once listed The Simpsons: Tapped Out, and that’s not a mistake.
I have not touched the game in the past two years I’ve worked at GameGrin. At least, not until I sat down to write this article for Tapped Out ‘s 10th anniversary. But long before I came to GameGrin, almost 10 years ago now, I was one of the earlier players that spent long hours on this incredible Simpsons title.
I’ll admit, most of my enjoyment now comes from nostalgia, as I was still very much a young whippersnapper at the time. Even so, I did my darndest to never miss an event and always be ready for my friend visits and character cooldowns to recharge. I’m not personally a huge fan of city-building games and yet I was invested.
I had The Simpsons in the palm of my hand and I wasn’t going to stop playing until I’d gotten every single character, every last building, cleared every new event. A year passed and there was even more to do. I started to falter. I had other responsibilities outside of the game and I couldn’t spend every waking moment on it, but I still tried. I wasn’t going to spend any money on the game, so I had to time the cooldowns so that I could get back to the game when I had free time.
However, I was (and somewhat still am) terrible at time management. I’d come back into the game hours after everything was finished or tens of minutes before most things were ready to get off of cooldowns. Events slipped by without being cleared. I was getting most of the early rewards at least, but my dedication wasn’t enough.
Not enough to finish them off. Not enough to make any real headway without the ever-tempting premium currency. At the time, I thought that perhaps I just wasn’t enough, as a gamer, as a fan, as a person. Yet I kept myself facing forward and trying my best.
- There was always more funny dialogue to be had and the various animations for the characters’ unique actions were a joy to experience.
- However, I just didn’t have the stamina to stick with Tapped Out,
- In essence, I myself became tapped out, exhausted by the process.
- Eventually, I was signing in, tapping a few regular money-makers — namely the dog races and the Kwik-E-Mart’s scratch-off lotto tickets (called Scratch-Rs and based on the Itchy and Scratchy in-universe television characters) — and signing out.
As good as the game was, I simply wasn’t having fun anymore. I’d been obsessed, even in those later moments, and unable to completely step away. I wound up stuck in a rut that had sucked out all of my enjoyment of the game. And because I wasn’t getting anything done in-game, but still spending a lot of time on it, a creeping sense of shame slowly drew over me. This phenomenon was hardly unique to Tapped Out or, I assume, to me. There were plenty of otherwise fantastic games (usually free and on mobile devices) that stopped being fun but which kept me desperately wanting them to be fun. Even now, I’m rather obsessed with another not-so-different title, Fate/Grand Order,
- Thankfully, I was able to get past a similar moment with that game and actually maintain a balance where I was only playing F/GO when it was fun for me.
- But if I can manage that now, why not go back to The Simpsons: Tapped Out ? Return to my first freemium love as a more mature woman, capable of avoiding that crushing exhaustion? The truth is, I tried, a couple of times over the past few years even.
But the list of unlockable characters that I’d missed, that were no longer accessible, was too great. “Too much content” is hardly the best criticism, but still I was overwhelmed. I didn’t have anything that I hadn’t earlier. Here I was, an early player trying to return, unable to get myself back into the experience I’d loved before. Looking back on the game now, it’s easy to try and explain away my fascination and frustration. Tapped Out, like most other free-to-play titles on mobile devices, is designed to keep the player playing, always having some timer going for them to return to and be rewarded for sticking with the game day after day.
Login bonuses for playing each day consecutively. The wait times are long and annoying if you’re ever busy, just long enough that it’s quite tempting to throw down some premium currency just to speed things along. Framed like that, it can be simple to decry the game, nay, the whole genre as a scammy mess.
But that ignores the sense of accomplishment one gets when they finally unlock their favourite character or the satisfaction at seeing a sprawling town famed for its lazy citizens working all at once to produce a way-too-high amount of money. So, if I still love the game, after all these years, why not return? The game is good, even now, 10 years later. The answer, much as I might try to deny it, is simple. I’m still burnt out. Still tapped out on Tapped Out, Overall, my feelings are complicated and contradictory, but I know that going back would leave me with nothing but a scrambling effort to catch up and try to reclaim some of that elusive enjoyment that I’d lost before.
How many people are playing Simpsons Tapped Out?
Game on the up with 5.4 million DAUs – July 31st, 2013 – 11:22am One interesting news snippet from the ChinaJoy 2013 conference came courtesy of EA’s SVP, mobile publishing, Bernard Kim. Revealing that The Simpsons: Tapped Out now has 5.4 million daily active players, Kim point out that was ‘more than EA Mobile had across all its games in 2012’.
- Indeed, as EA’s Q1 financial filings reveal, the game generated more cash between April to June 2013 than at any time since it launched (technically relaunched) in October 2012.
- In the past quarter, it’s generated 6 billion gameplay minutes, 1 billion quests, and players have spent more than 233 billion bucks,” Kim added.
Sketchy calculations Bucks are the in-game soft currency, which players earn. Alternatively, they can buy the hard currency – called donuts – and convert them. This give us the opportunity to perform some real rough back-of-ticket math. You can buy 100,000 bucks for 600 donuts, while 2,400 donuts cost $99.99.
Hence, if we assume all those bucks were purchased (a very big assumption), this would be worth about $58 million. ($100 will buy you 400,000 bucks.) Obviously, we can’t say that the game is generating this amount of cash, merely that players’ activity (if purchased) would be ‘worth’ $58 million. Interestingly, this value fits within the known revenue range, given that EA has said The Simpsons: Tapped Out generated $23 million during its first quarter (back in 2012), and now it’s making more money than ever.

The biggest release of land since the launch of the game was with the Destination Springfield event, releasing two columns, one row and one ocean row, for a total of 100 plots. The second biggest release of land in one update occurred on the release of the Springfield Heights expansion, releasing 6 rows and 9 columns over the mountains, in a whole new section, still usable by Springfield items.

How do you get Marge Simpson in tapped out?
The Simpsons: Tapped Out- Unlocking Witch Marge If you grabbed the Halloween update for, you’ll likely have heard of the witch costume for Marge. But how do you unlock it? First of all, you need to be Level 15 as a minimum. You also need to have completed the Al Coholic quest to unlock the normal Marge character. If you’ve fulfilled those requirements, you’ll then need to splash out 90 donuts on the special cauldron in the game shop.
