How to sell kilju in my summer car?
Selling kilju – A bucket of kilju being transported in the van, Kilju can be sold to Jouko, He is outside his home between 06:00 and 22:00 daily. Kilju can be transported with any vehicle that has enough space for the cans. To sell the kilju, place a kilju bottle on the table next to the drunk guy and wait for him to taste the product.
Jouko showing distaste to kilju. Depending on how well the kilju is brewed, the player will be paid a varying sum of money. The highest sum the player can be paid is 170 mk per can. Therefore, the maximum amount of money that can be earned from a bucketful of kilju is 3,400 mk for 20 cans.
Using five packs of sugar instead of six results in a weaker brew which will only be worth 130 mk per container. The player will need 6 packs of sugar costing 6.95 mk each (41.7 mk ), 1 yeast packet costing 8.95 mk, and 20 juice concentrate cans costing 12.95 mk each (259 mk ), for a total cost of 309.65 mk,
A total of 3,400 mk can be earned by selling all 20 bottles of kilju to Jouko, netting a profit of 3,090.35 mk, Retrieving the empty juice containers from the landfill site eliminates the cost of the juice—the largest single expense—resulting instead in a profit of 3,349.35 mk for 20 bottles.
After the kilju is sold, it will appear at the landfill site as empty plastic cans. You may attempt to cheat Jouko by letting him try good kilju with the first bottle, but the rest you put on the table can just be water-filled juice bottles. He will not notice immediately that you’ve fooled him and pay for the bottles in full.
Doing this, however, will later enrage Jouko and cause him to slash the Satsuma ‘s tires which will then need to be replaced by Fleetari, and he will unbolt your brake lines which will inevitably cause your brakes to fail. If you do not have any tires bolted to the Satsuma, he will still unbolt your brake lines.
How long does kilju take to ferment?
Production – Kilju in its fifth day of fermentation. An air lock has been added to keep unnecessary and harmful bacteria away from the fermenting beverage. Kilju can be produced by fermenting sugar, yeast, and water, but kilju made exclusively from sugar, yeast, and water was illegal in Finland before March 2018; therefore, grain, potatoes, fruits or berries were used during fermentation to avoid legal problems and to flavor the drink.
- Oranges and lemons are a popular choice for this purpose.
- The process is similar to that of homebrewing wine.
- If done slowly, it requires rigorous hygiene and filtering of the product.
- If brewed fast, specialized dried yeasts are available in amounts to drive the fermentation process through before bacterial infiltration can take place, in about three days.
In Finnish the latter are called pikahiiva (lit. quick-yeast), and they are sold in about a hundred gramme packs dry, as opposed to the live standard pack of brewer’s yeast of 50g wet. Properly made kilju is a clear, colorless or off-white liquid with no discernible taste other than that of ethanol,
- It can be produced by natural settling of the yeast over time, but nowadays various fining agents are used to hasten the process as well.
- Ilju can be refined into pontikka (Finnish moonshine ) by means of distillation,
- It then resembles rum, as both are distilled from fermented cane sugar products, although rum is often made from molasses, a byproduct of the sugar refining process, or fresh sugar cane juice instead of refined, crystallized table sugar,
Rum thus has a discernible taste of its own, whereas pontikka distilled from (well-clarified) kilju more resembles diluted neutral spirit, vodka, or viina, Kilju is often produced improperly by home brewers who allow contaminants to disrupt fermentation or do not adequately filter or rack the liquid, or do not use a fining agent,
The latter mistakes result in yeast being suspended, causing the mixture to be cloudy rather than clear. The yeast is not harmful, but can yield an unpleasant taste and intestinal discomfort. It is also a common mistake to leave the carbon dioxide produced by fermentation into the suspension, so that the yeast provides it with nucleation sites, keeping the yeast up in the solution.
Proper technique calls for airing the product after fermentation, stirring, and perhaps for fining agents such as microsilica or various semipolar proteinaceacous or carbohydrate agents. When homebrewing grew in popularity during the economic depression that followed the Finnish banking crisis of the early 1990s, yeast strains known as “turbo yeast” (“turbohiiva”, “pikahiiva”) were introduced to the market.
- These yeast strains enable a very rapid fermentation to full cask strength, in some cases in as little as three days (compared to several weeks required by traditional wine yeast strains).
- Such a short production time naturally does not allow the yeast to become lees,
- The introduction of turbo yeast reinforced the public’s view of kilju as an easy method of procuring cheap alcohol.
Kilju is a well-established part of the Finnish alcohol and counter-culture, as witnessed even in the leading engineer school’s making-and-use-of video of yore. “Four thousand litres of gases are generated. They are led to the neighbours’ delight.” The drink tends to invite such black humour, of the deadpan kind.
How long does being drunk last in my summer car?
Trivia –
The brand of the booze in-game is Kännikala, a Finnish word for a drunkard (literally meaning “drunk fish”). The bottle is very similar to the real-life spirit drink Koskenkorva, KELA is also written on the bottle, Kela being the Finnish social security agency. Keep in mind that drinking more than 2 bottles of Booze or more can make you pass out,
For this reason, it is a very good idea to bring 2 bottles of Booze and 2 cases of beer to be completely sure you are gonna pass out when you date Suski,
However, if one is interested in the game lore, this should be avoided, as passing out too fast means that you will not hear all of Suski’s dialogue.
It may take around 30 real-time minutes for the Booze’s drunkenness to wear off.

How to take Suski on date?
Dating – Contains spoilers; click to expand After she leaves the note, the player will be able to take Suski on a date. Suski will appear in front of her house which is slightly down the street from Teimo’s (the house closest to the shop with a Pölsa in the driveway) or Teimo’s shop itself where the player can pick her up.
Her enjoyment is based on what accessories are installed on the Satsuma when you pick her up, and the date will only begin when you put a case of beer in the passenger footwell and she takes a bottle. The player will then drive around the highway, making sure to not go above 100km/h. If she is not enjoying herself she will state she is bored and would rather be hanging out with Virpi (presumably a friend of hers), however if the leopard print covers, CD player, tinted windows and sound system are installed she will say she would like to go to either the dance pavilion or the ski hill,
If you continue to drive after she’s said how bored she is she will demand to be let out of the car, walking off angrily for wasting her time. Alternatively, the player can drop her off at her house, where she says she’ll see the player again soon, and after some time has passed the player will have another chance to impress her.
- Once at either the dance pavilion or the ski hill, Suski will tell the player to drink some beer, in the meantime talking about various things as the player gets more and more drunker.
- She will continue to tell the player to keep drinking until they pass out, so it is recommended to have a bottle of booze to speed up the process or have at least two or three cases of beer in order to hear all the dialogue.
Note that the Satsuma will remain wherever you left it before you blacked out, so make arrangements to retrieve it afterward. The Jonnez is recommended for this, just remember to be careful when putting it inside the car.

Can you turn sugar water into alcohol?
Time and Temperature – While not necessarily “ingredients,” time and temperature are the next two most important factors when fermenting alcohol. It takes time for your sweet mix of sugar water to ferment into an alcohol wash, and more for it to clear.
- Generally the whole process takes at least 4-6 weeks.
- Warmth works hand in hand with time in accomplishing this.
- As living things, yeasts have a preferred temperature they like to live in and they are most productive at this temperature (often 20-23° C, depending on the type of yeast and what is being fermented).
At their preferred temperature, a healthier fermentation will take place, whereas if the temperature is colder it may be slower. Warmth may also affect the flavour of your wash when it is fermenting. Regardless of what you are going for it is best to avoid large temperature fluctuations and extreme heat as these may produce harsh flavours in your wash.
What is sugar wash moonshine?
Making Moonshine Making sugar wash moonshine using a simple Sugar wash is a mix of water, sugar, and yeast necessary in the fermentation of alcohol followed by distillation using a, A sugar wash is an affordable and one of the easiest ways to create a wash for fermentation.
It can be done with cheap table sugar or dextrose, or brown sugar for more of a rum style wash. Follow our simple sugar wash recipe. How Sugars Turn Fermentable: When a sugar wash comes into contact with a strain of yeast, over time the yeast will start to feed off the sugars and grow. As it grows, the sugars will convert into ethanol and carbon dioxide.
When yeast first comes into contact with your sugar, 60 minutes or so should go by with little activity. Soon after, as the yeast colony continues to grow, it will start to feed off the sugars rapidly. When nutrients and sugars are becoming hard to come by for the yeast, and the alcohol percentage rises the fermentation process will end.
The Process: Start with 5.5 gallons of hot water about 105-110 degrees F which is hot enough to dissolve the sugar. Pour 18 lbs of sugar into the hot water and stir until dissolved. Then put a couple hand fulls of ice in the sugar water to cool it down. You might need to let it sit for an hour or so until the temperatures comes down to around 80F.
Then add the Turbo Yeast and stir in really well. Place lid on the fermentation bucket with air lock in place. Fermentation takes approximately 5 days and using the you should get up to 20% ABV (alcohol by volume) in the wash. Keep fermentation bucket in a dark place at 70-75F.
In this cycle, since the yeast is still trying to adapt to it’s new environment, it will hit a bit of lag in it’s reproduction. One to two hours will go by with little activity. Be patient and give it time. After this cycle has passed, the yeast will start “feeding” on the sugars in order to sustain in it’s environment without any more oxygen. The yeast will eat fast, and within the first 3 days or so, most of the sugars will be gone. You’ll notice your airlock will be bubbling frequently at this stage, as carbon dioxide expels from the bucket This cycle is within the last days of fermentation as the yeast has eaten up all sugar and stops thriving. With the airlock now only bubbling every so often, the yeast will fall to the bottom of the bucket as it ends it’s cycles. We recommend to clear the wash. The Turbo Clear will pull down any suspended yeast and nutrient particulate to the bottom within 24 hours or you can just let the fermenter sit for a couple more days to clear by itself.
Making moonshine process will take 5-7 days with most strains of yeast. Our popular 48-Hour yeast is capable of producing 20% in 5 days, but it’s recommended to wait a full 7 days to have all yeast settle or use Turbo Clear for quicker clearing. Another good alternative for making moonshine from regular sugar are actually fruits.
- This is a fun process to do because you can experiment with different fruits to achieve natural flavors in your finished product.
- A common example of this is using potatoes to make vodka.
- Apples, plums, pears, and a wide array of berries can also be used to experiment with to make that liquor using a,
This process will work differently with fruits. Simply use table sugar and fruit juices collected is what you really want for fermentation. Keep cautious if you choose to skip this step and purchase fruit juice instead. Preservatives in some fruit juices has potential to kill the yeast in your mash.

How do I get out of jail faster in my summer car?
Trivia –
A one-day sentence is over after about two hours of playing time. The physical location for the jail is behind a treewall south of the airfield, though it is only visible when serving time. After 10 days in the jail, the player will tattoo his hands. You cannot remove these tattoos without editing your save file or using mods. Lore-wise, the jail might be placed far away from Peräjärvi, presumably somewhere else in Alivieska, considering the jail’s implied large size and the fact it’s so far from Peräjärvi the player has to be brought back to the urban area by bus. You can escape jail by taking the rear seat or sofa with you, and then putting it outside the cell to sleep there. However, this will pause the sentence until the player is back in jail. Entering the area under the jail cell will teleport the player to the house, with arrest warrant officers at the door. You can get arrested if somebody near you kills somebody.
