This year we turn to for the Major League Baseball info. – Here’s what they found “If you’re in search of the cheapest beer, head over to Coors Field in Denver, where the average beer cost is only $3. The Los Angeles Dodgers rank No.2 for cheapest beer ($4.50), followed by The Arizona Diamondbacks ($4.99); St.
Louis Cardinals ($5) and the Atlanta Braves ($5). ” On the other side: “When it comes to beer prices, you’ll have to reach fairly deep into your pockets during a New York Mets game. A beer at Citi Field is about $12. The second most expensive beer in the league can be found at a Chicago White Sox game ($10.75), followed by the Chicago Cubs ($10.49); Baltimore Orioles ($10.00) and the Philadelphia Phillies ($9.99).” So let’s rank ’em.
How much am I gonna pay for a beer at a Major League Baseball game? Looks like the Mets are the most expensive again this year. Remember, as we learned from the NFL version of this list. Not every stand at the park is going to get you this price. But with most ballparks, if you ask around, you can find a ‘deal’.

How much is a beer in Citi Field New York?
The 2023 Guide to Beer at Citi Field The 2023 Guide to Beer at Citi Field ALT While the Mets are in the midst of an utterly miserable early-season slide, the situation on the field leaves about as much to be desired as the beer situation at Citi Field.
While for the past several years, there were dedicated kiosks to local craft beer at the stadium, the beer selection has devolved to be a mile wide and an inch deep — more availability across the stadium, but far fewer selections, and even fewer local ones. Citi Field’s beer selection is largely dominated by Mets major sponsor MillerCoors, with the macro beers, Blue Moon original and Moon Haze, and the Vizzy and Topo Chico-branded seltzers all regularly available throughout the stadium.
Boston Beer has a dominant presence this year, with both Dogfish Head (60 Minute IPA and SeaQuench) and Coney Island (Merman IPA, Mermaid Pilsner, and Beach Beer) widely available, but seemingly the only Sam Adams-branded product on offer is their N/A IPA, Just the Haze.
Montauk Brewing, which got a big boost when they were acquired by cannabis company Tilray last year, is widely available, offering the Wave Chaser IPA and Summer Ale. Brooklyn Brewery, which has been available in fits and starts at Citi Field since its inception, has Lager, Summer Ale, Pulp Art IPA, and Pilsner this season — though the Pilsner was a hard find, spotted only on draft at Pig Beach behind section 135.
Sloop Juice Bomb is one of the few returning craft beers this year, and there’s one new entrant: Glen Cove-based Garvies Point Brewing, who’s got cans of their Crescent Kolsch. The big reason for the dearth of indie craft options this year: 16-ounce cans are gone from the stadium.
- It appears that Aramark, Citi Field’s concessionaire, required that any local or craft beer be sold in a 19.2-ounce can.
- Putting aside that 19.2 ounces is more IPA than I really want to drink, it’s an unreasonable ask for small breweries that would not typically have both the supply of cans and capability to can in that format.
In past years, the Empire State Craft stands would exclusively offer 16-ounce cans at a fixed price point. And despite the average length of games being notably shorter this year, the beers are now sold to last longer (and, on hot days, probably get warm before you can finish them).
As far as pricing goes, not too much has changed. While the $14.25 16-ounce craft cans are gone, the handful of 19.2-ounce cans last season from Dogfish Head and Brooklyn were priced at $15.25 — the same price as this year.24-ounce macro beers are still $15.50, and 24-ounce cans of Blue Moon and Leinenkugel Summer Shandy will continue to set you back $16.50.
Anyway, if you’re looking for the best beer selection on each level, here’s a quick and easy guide:
Field Level: Montauk Brewing stand behind section 128Excelsior Level: the beer stand behind sections 301/302 on the Coca-Cola PorchPromenade Level: the beer stand behind section 418 (where the Empire State Craft stand was in past seasons)
One notable omission from the beer list this year:, beer that’s quite literally brewed under Citi Field’s right field stands. Of course, you can still have their more reasonably-priced beers before and after the game at their taproom. : The 2023 Guide to Beer at Citi Field

What is the official beer of the Mets?
Molson Coors Beverage Co. expands presence in ballparks in time for Opening Day 2020 With a new partnership with the N ew Y ork Mets and extensions with the Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies and Oakland A’s, Molson Coors Beverage Co.
Is heading into the 2020 baseball season with partnerships with 15 of the 30 Major League Baseball teams. Each of the alliances serves an important role in the Molson Coors strategy of connecting with drinkers and boosting retail activity in major markets, introducing its brands to the next generation of legal-age drinkers and encouraging trial of new products during the key summer selling season.
Beer and baseball have long gone hand-in-hand, but the idea of creating branded experiences within ballparks and stadiums has become an increasingly important way to forge more personal and meaningful connections with drinkers who are spending less time in front of traditional media.
- As part of its MLB club partnerships, Molson Coors will have dedicated spaces – whether branded bars, communal spaces or branded kiosks – in or around each stadium, creating more opportunities for fans to interact with Molson Coors brands.
- The Mets partnership and the extensions with the other clubs join the company’s existing partnerships with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Seattle Mariners.
- Here’s a look at what’s new this year:
- New York Mets
The new deal with the Mets grants Coors Light the title as the team’s official domestic beer partner. It also includes a Coors Light-branded bar and a branded section of seats in centerfield at Citi Field. The partnership also calls for a branded bar behind the home plate area that features the branding of Molson Coors’ forthcoming hard seltzer Vizzy. San Francisco Giants A multi-year extension with the Giants allows Coors Light to expand its presence in Oracle Park with a new waterfront bar called the Coors Light Cove, an area in center field that allows adults to gather and enjoy a beer and the game from a unique vantage point overlooking the field and its new bullpens.
A new Vizzy-branded bar joins other brand experiences in the ballpark, including a bar from craft brewer Hop Valley and a Blue Moon kiosk. Detroit Tigers Molson Coors will have two new branded marketplaces in Comerica Park, one featuring Miller Lite branding and the other Blue Moon. The company’s newest craft acquisition, Atwater Brewery, also will be showcased on a branded bar in the stadium, and a new rooftop branded experience called the Vizzy View will be ready for Opening Day.
They join an existing Blue Moon Brewhouse and the Miller Lite Pitcher’s Pub in the ballpark.
- Philadelphia Phillies
- In another multi-year extension, Miller Lite and Leinenkugel’s each will get a new branded destination inside Citizens Bank Park: The Miller Lite Liberty Landing, a bar and communal setting with branded high-top tables, a drink rail and TVs; and a standing-room-only Leinenkugel’s-branded space in left field.
- Oakland Athletics
- Molson Coors is showcasing two of its above-premium brands in the Oakland Coliseum: Blue Moon and San Diego-based craft brewer Saint Archer.
- Milwaukee Brewers
Molson Coors remains the official beer partner of the Brewers via a multi-year extension that includes a handful of new fan experiences, including the Miller Lite Landing, the Leinie Lodge and a Terrapin Beer Company-branded bar. The newly built Miller Lite Landing is a viewing deck perched in the lodge level in left field and includes tables, charging stations, TVs and a 7-foot-tall Brewers logo made of Miller Lite cans.

Which MLB fans drink the most beer?
Fan Bases with the Biggest Pregamers in MLB – Drinking just the needed amount of beer before the match begins is crucial. If you consume too much beer, there’s a good chance you might not remain to watch the entire game. The Toronto Blue Jays fans are the biggest pregamers in Major League Baseball.
- According to a survey, 7 in 10 Blue Jays fans take a drink before the match gets started.
- Coming at the second position is the St.
- Louis Cardinal fan base, with 68% consuming beer before getting settled into a game.
- The White Sox fan base comes in at a close number three with 67%, which makes sense since they top the list of the biggest drinkers in the MLB.
Nevertheless, this comes with a slight disadvantage for White Sox fans. They remain the fan base with a higher number of fans missing some part of a game because of consuming too many drinks. Their rivals, the Chicago Cubs, also have about 36% of fans missing some part of the game compared to the White Sox’s 49%.

Eat. Watch. Do. – Weekly What to eat. What to watch. What you need to live your best life, now. Rouben hand-shaved the truffles (he wouldn’t say how many pounds), which he added, “throughout the entire process at different points of temperature and for different periods of time.” He said he deliberately brewed a clean, unobtrusive base beer to let the primary ingredient shine.
- Pilsners are one of the most difficult beers to create,” he said.
- There’s no big hops, no bourbon, no big flavors covering up any mistakes.
- What you taste is very clean pilsner and truffles.” I tasted the beer last month and can attest to the fact that Shaved Black Truffle Pilsner is indeed complex, layered and, like a robust, higher-alcohol beer, unfolds with rich, savory layers.
Drinking Shaved Black Truffle Pilsner too cold can mask its nuance. Though it is one of Moody Tongue’s first beers — Rouben is also in the process of releasing a Belgian golden ale with cold-pressed pawpaw and a wheat beer with crushed green coriander — he said he had no hesitation about debuting with such an expensive offering.

How much is a Guinness in NYC?
I dated a guy in college who was full-blooded Irish and who enjoyed a pint of Guinness at the local Irish pub near his house every day after he got out of work. I’d go and sit with him to keep him company but never drank the beer no matter how many times he offered me a sip. Although I’ve got some strong Irish roots, I’ve never been much for Guinness which I equate to drinking a glass of gritty dirt. More power to those who can suck it down without flinching. Does it come as a surprise that I generally keep Guinness on hand in my pantry? Why would I have it on hand if nobody in my house drinks the stuff? The reason is simple- we’ve found that the dark drink adds some incredibly rich flavor to a variety of dishes including beef stew and of course, corned beef and cabbage.
- I’ve never been more disappointed than I was this year when I was putting my corned beef and cabbage meal in my slow cooker the night before St.
- Patrick’s Day and realized that I was out of Guinness.
- Let’s just say – beef broth works but it doesn’t make the dish as flavorful as Guinness does.
- Since I’m not one to pony up to the bar and ask for a pint of Guinness, I was completely shocked when I found out how much a pint of the drink costs.
I can’t remember what my college boyfriend paid but it certainly wasn’t as much as people are paying for a glass today. According to FinanceBuzz, the average price of a pint of Guinness is $6.70 in almost every state except for New York. In New York, a pint of Guinness costs more than it does in almost every other state – $7.90.

How much is soda at Citi Field?
Food & Beverage 5 – Sports business reporter Darren Rovell once called the Mets food program as “the best in sports.” It’s hard to disagree with that assessment. Citi Field boasts over 100 concession stands and restaurants ranging from simple popcorn stands to the sit-down, glass-walled Caesars Sportsbook Metropolitan Grille overlooking left field to Fuku by celebrity chef David Chang serving mouth-watering spicy chicken sandwiches ($15) in the third base concourse.
- A Shake Shack sits in center field behind the scoreboard, though this chain’s locations can be found in several places in the city and it is absolutely not worth missing multiple entire innings to stand in line.
- The Tacocina stand nearby is a much better option anyway, two well-packed tacos for $12 is one of the better deals you’ll find.
Pat LaFrieda’s steak sandwiches are available in center field as well, and they are absolutely delightful (skip the Pat LaFrieda cheeseburgers, $15.50, bad). If you’re looking to browse several options at once, the large landing behind home plate on the promenade level essentially serves as a food court, as does the Piazza 31 Club on the Excelsior level (most lower-level tickets come with access to this area, but it does not have a view of the field, nor do the Delta and Hyundai clubs on the 100 level).
- The main dining options to avoid are Shake Shack for the reasons stated above and the Caesars Sportsbook Metropolitan Grille, which has limited seating with views of the field and just doesn’t make sense unless there’s a rain delay.
- The small bar area at Caesar’s entrance, however, is a great place to get a drink when it’s cold or rain starts falling, as it is fully enclosed and offers a view of the field.
It is wise to check your ticket to see which club areas you can access, as these clubs tend to house a ton of different concession options. High rollers in the Platinum and Gold sections can enjoy complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages in the Clover Home Plate Club located under those sections directly behind home plate, and suites are generally all-inclusive.
Even the cheap seats have access to the Jim Beam Promenade Club, which offers a view of the field (if you’re tall enough to see over the top row of the 400 level) and some fun alcohol-infused ice cream options. For those who keep kosher, there is a kosher grill in center field near Tacocina. Beverages are literally everywhere.
Nearly every concession stand serves soft drinks, water, and at least a few different beers or hard seltzers. The Coors Light Bar in center field and the Vizzy Seltzer Bar behind home plate in the promenade level offer cans ranging from domestic light tallboys ($15.50) to high-gravity IPA’s ($15.25) to all sorts of hard seltzers ($16.50).
The Jim Beam bar in center field offers mixed drinks ($18-$23.75). Wine and hard liquor are also available in multiple areas, including the wine stand behind section 140. The Hornitos Bar behind section 327 and the bar in the left field landing (300 level) sections on the Excelsior level offer a full complement of beverages, and the massive bar in the Piazza 31 club does not seem to be subject to the same cutoff time rules that apply to the rest of the stadium.
There are also self-serve Walk Thru Bru stands in the third and first base line concourses offering a wide variety of beers at $15.50-$16.50. If you like to eat well and enjoy adult beverages at the ballpark, Citi Field is the place for you. Just expect to pay New York prices.
How much is a pastrami at Citi Field?
You can still grab a pastrami sandwich (for $12.75 ) at a Mets home game at the Queens ballpark, where Aramark senior executive chef Patrick Schaeffer runs the kitchens.
